Ms. Vera KEUNG obtained her Bachelor degree in food and nutritional sciences and Master of Philosophy from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Over the past 12 years, Ms. KEUNG has been working closely with the project team in the Centre for Health Education and Health Promotion on Health Promoting School projects including the Hong Kong Healthy Schools Award Scheme (since 2001) and Healthy Schools (Pre-school) Award Scheme (since 2005) to promote health education and health promotion actions in local schools by providing professional supports, training and written guidelines to school teachers. Since 2010, Ms. KEUNG has led the territory-wide Quality Education Fund Thematic Network on Healthy Schools project, which involved 30 schools. Besides, Ms. KEUNG has been involved in surveys and researches initiated by the Centre on children and adolescents’ health behaviours and evaluation of Health Promoting School.
